Deficit Reduction Act of 2005 (“DRA”) RequirementsThe DRA requires us to provide information to our contractors and agents regarding the Federal False Claims Act, administrative remedies for false claims and statements, applicable state false claims provisions, and whistleblower protections under these laws.
We require our contractors and agents to review the attached copy of our corporate policy that addresses our role in preventing and detecting healthcare fraud, waste and abuse. Our contractors and agents also must provide this information to all of their employees and agents who have contact with our facility related to the delivery or monitoring of Medicaid healthcare items and services, billing or coding functions. It is the responsibility of all individuals who work with or provide services to or on behalf of Froedtert to comply with all federal and state laws and applicable Froedtert Hospital policies and procedures.

Identify Theft PreventionFroedtert Health has an Identity Theft Prevention Program and policy. The purpose of this program is to detect, prevent and mitigate identity theft.
If you are a vendor or service provider that performs an activity in connection with one or more patient billing accounts (i.e., billing vendor, collection agency, etc.) you will be required to do the following:
- You must have an identity theft prevention program in place that is in compliance with all federal rules and regulations and includes policies and procedures designed to prevent, detect and mitigate red flags for identity theft.
- You must report to Froedtert Health, any relevant red flags that may arise in the performance of activities, and shall take appropriate steps to prevent or mitigate identity theft. You can report red flags to the Froedtert Health Compliance Hotline at 414-259-0220.
