SpineCare, an outpatient clinic of Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin, is dedicated to the transdisciplinary management of spine disorders. Transdisciplinary care means “across disciplines;” the SpineCare team includes board-certified and fellowship-trained experts from a variety of specialties who work together to meet each patient’s individual needs ── all in one place.
We specialize in treating patients with neck and back pain. We emphasize early intervention and offer a comprehensive, evidence-based approach to spine care. Our goal is to encourage an early, safe return to your routine activities and workplace, and to help you prevent long-term disability from back and neck pain.
SpineCare offers a unique personalized approach, with the patient at the center of care. We see the patient as a critical member of that team, and we ask our patients to be actively involved in their own treatment and long-term success.
SpineCare can help you make dramatic, lifelong changes in your spine health. While our approach is very effective, it may not be appropriate for everyone. Some patients with chronic pain may not benefit as dramatically from our unique approach to spine care. Still, we believe we have an obligation to help each patient find the right care, and we will make recommendations as appropriate.
A total of 3,964 new patients were treated between Jan. 1 and Dec. 31, 2012.
Superior OutcomesThe bottom line is that our approach works. Here are some important facts:
- A majority of SpineCare patients continue in their daily activities to some extent during their treatment.
- Of patients who responded to our satisfaction survey in 2012, 85% gave the SpineCare program the highest possible rating and an average overall satisfaction score from all respondents was 93%.
We want to help you return to your routine activities as soon and as safely as possible, all while promoting function and helping prevent long-term disability. Getting help quickly for back and neck problems and learning proper self-help techniques are just two of the ways we work to prevent these problems from becoming chronic. Over the course of treatment, we continue to help our patients make the changes necessary to go about their daily lives safely and effectively.
The SpineCare program tracks and scores patients’ physical and emotional health conditions before and after their treatment. These scores reflect the outcome and quality of the care provided. View the SpineCare outcome report.
