Like our runners, we give the 2010 Strain for the Brain Walk/Run a "big thumbs-up"!

The day was chilly, but the the hearts warm as teams of walkers and runners joined together to benefit Froedtert Hospital Foundation.

The event aims to raise awareness of brain tumors and their impact on those affected by them.

Proceeds will benefit local brain tumor research programs through Froedtert Hospital's Brain Tumor Fund.  A smaller portion will support national and international brain tumor research through the American Brain Tumor Association.

featuring celebrity guest - Bonnie Blair Cruikshank

We're proud to announce that Olympian, Bonnie Blair Cruikshank,  was our celebrity guest.  Bonnie is best known as Wisconsin's very own, gold medal speedskater and the record holder for the most gold medals (5) won by an American woman in any sport. 

You may not know that Bonnie is also a supporter of brain tumor research, a result of her brother Rob's struggle with the disease.
