Welcome Spring!

After a very long winter, we’ve welcomed spring in the Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza. The plaza reopened for the season on May 6th. Walk through the plaza and you’ll see new plantings and recognition, honoring donors, patients and their families. Visit and you’ll be touched by the dozens of personalized messages displayed on bricks, tiles, tree stones and benches throughout the Healing Plaza.

Join us for a quiet stroll. You’ll find the Healing Plaza outside the entrance to the Specialty Clinics building, on Coffey Drive, just off 87th Street.

Please remember Froedtert in your will and estate planning.

Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza

The Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza is a unique place of beauty, silence and serenity.  A place for our patients, their families and staff to pray, grieve, hope, give thanks and remember.

The plaza garden is located near the East Clinics Building at Froedtert Hospital and features walking paths, trees and a water fountain. Benches, trees, stones, pavers, tiles and gardens, feature loving tributes to friends and family of Froedtert Hospital. The messages represent the thoughts of grateful patients and their families, as well as many appreciative and compassionate staff who made personal contributions to honor family members, patients and co-workers.

Entirely funded by the contributions of more than 400 donors, including lead donor Mortenson Construction, the Wisconsin Energy Foundation, the James E. Dutton Foundation, Dynacare and the Froedtert Hospital Volunteer Associates.

You can still be a part of the plaza.  Opportunities to dedicate a tile or paver still exist.  To make your gift, print and mail our Healing Plaza brochure.
