Thank you for visiting froedtert.com. On this site, we try to give people a feel of what it’s like to experience Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, the only academic medical center in eastern Wisconsin.
What is an “academic medical center?” Simply put, it means that Froedtert Hospital (learn its history) is teamed up with the Medical College of Wisconsin and its faculty physicians. It means that we are at the forefront of scientific discovery, benefiting both our patients today and patients tomorrow. It means that we offer vast technological resources and provide exceptional care, all while teaching the next generation of health professionals.

Our ProgramsMore doctors choose Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin for their patients than any other facility. That means that when it comes time to receive specialty care, physicians know that the specialty programs here are up to the challenge. It means that our programs are built around the concept that a multidisciplinary approach – specialists and sub-specialists in different fields of study working together in a team environment – is the best for patient care and for treating complex diseases.
