Access Center

The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Access Center offers the following services 24 hours a day, seven days a week:

Patient transfers
Medical College of Wisconsin physician consultations
Contact with a specific physician or department
Patient referral follow-up (Monday-Friday, 8 a.m. - 4 p.m.)

To transfer a patient or consult with a specialist: Call the Access Center at 414-805-4700 or 877-804-4700. Nurses are available 24 hours a day, seven days a week. This number is for physicians and staff only.

Specialty Areas, Online Physician Database and Program Data Sheets

View a complete list of our specialty areas, and search our physician database of more than 1,100 Medical College of Wisconsin physicians who provide care in every specialty and subspecialty of medicine. We also provide Program Data Sheets for select specialty programs.

If you wish to refer to a primary care physician, we have many convenient choices throughout the community.

Preoperative Resources

We appreciate the opportunity to collaborate in the ongoing care of your patients. We offer preoperative resources to help prepare your patients for surgical procedures at Froedtert facilities including information regarding standard documentation, testing, and patient education.

Clinical Trials

Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin is dedicated to providing referring physicians with the most current treatment options for their referred patients. At any given time, Medical College of Wisconsin physicians offer a wide range of clinical trials for eligible patients.

We participate in multi-institutional, national trials, as well as studies unique to Froedtert & The Medical College. You can view a list of available trials for cancer, the neurosciences and pulmonary hypertension online. (This list is updated quarterly.) Many more trials are conducted in all health specialty areas. If you are interested in a specific trial, or if you would like to speak to someone to explore options for your patients, please call 414-805-3666 or 800-272-3666.
