PGY1 Residency Project
Formalization and implementation of an antibiotic stewardship plan through the development of a dedicated infectious disease pharmacist position.

I will be reviewing literature and guidelines to help standardize and implement an antibiotic stewardship program at Froedtert Hospital to improve patient care, decrease antimicrobial resistance, and reduce healthcare costs. These objectives will possibly lead to justification of an infectious disease pharmacist position or integrate a pharmacist in more standard infectious disease practices.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I wanted to expand my pharmacotherapy knowledge and develop critical thinking skills necessary for clinical pharmacists.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Froedtert Hospital is a large teaching hospital with diverse rotations encompassing a wide variety of areas.

Critical care, infectious disease

Hobbies
Staying active, sports as spectator and participant, playing guitar, spending time with family and friends, and eating great food.

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Lakefront/downtown activities and Brewer games.
