PGY1 Residency Project
Improvement and Standardization of a Sepsis Protocol

The goal of this project is improve and standardize the current sepsis protocol so that it can be used throughout the hospital. In addition, I will look specifically at the use of antibiotics in septic patients both before and after the protocol has been updated in order to evaluate for differences in indications, duration, and cost.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I wanted to expand my clinical knowledge and gain more experience in a variety of areas in order to become a more confident and competent pharmacist.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Froedtert has a wide variety of rotations available, including several in critical care. I also liked the fact that Froedtert is a large teaching hospital with opportunities to round with the team.  The program is very flexible and the preceptors have a reputation for being excellent teachers.

Hobbies
I love to be outside — running, biking, hiking. I also love to travel and spend time with friends and family.

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Attend Brewers games and outdoor concerts.
