PGY1 Residency Project
Justification and expansion of Emergency Department pharmacy services

Create a business plan to increase pharmacy services in the emergency department from 10 to 20 hours daily. In order to create this plan, a variety of data collections, including peak traffic hours, will be completed. A review of services provided by pharmacists and possible implementation of new pharmacy services in the emergency department will be completed.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
I chose to do a residency to expand my clinical knowledge and skills and to gain more confidence in my abilities. I also wanted to experience other areas of clinical practice that did not have exposure to during my student rotations.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
The variety of rotations available, the large number of critical care rotations and the staffing model.

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Going to all the summer festivals and Brewers games.
