PGY1 Residency Project
Standardizing the Desensitization Process at Froedtert Hospital
This year I will be developing a standardized process for desensitization at Froedtert Hospital. I will be focusing on increasing efficiency in pharmacy procedures related to the desensitization process and improving coordination among staff members.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
Pursuing a residency is a positive step toward becoming a successful and experienced pharmacist. I view a residency as a valuable opportunity that allows me to continue to build upon my clinical skills, helping me gain experience and confidence. After completing my residency year, I will have a solid foundation to build upon my future career as a clinical pharmacist.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
Froedtert Hospital possesses several qualities that strengthen a residency program. As an academic medical center, Froedtert prides itself on teaching and looks towards the future of health care. There are several opportunities to mentor others by being a preceptor for pharmacy students during rotations and through the college of pharmacy at Concordia. In addition, I am impressed by the variety of rotations available so I can have a well-rounded experience during my residency year.

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Although I have not lived in Milwaukee for long, I have enjoyed many attractions the city has to offer including Brewers games, Summerfest, Polish festival, Milwaukee County Zoo, Brewery tours, the beach, and eating at several delicious restaurants.
