PGY1 Residency Project
Froedtert Hospital Residency Expansion
The project focuses on several elements of Froedtert Hospital’s residency program in an effort to increase the number of PGY1 residents. This involves financially justifying additional residents, accurately billing CMS for residency program reimbursement, and examining the residency program model in order to determine how to best incorporate additional residents.

Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
Residency offers the unique learning opportunity to gain valuable knowledge and experience in pharmacy. I have a passion for clinical pharmacy and wanted to pursue a residency in order to provide the best possible care to patients.

What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
One of the biggest factors for me was the extremely welcoming and friendly nature of Froedtert’s pharmacy staff. This demonstrated how well I would fit with the program and how I would be valued as a resident. The program itself offers the wide variety of challenging rotations I was seeking. I was also attracted by Froedtert’s affiliation with the Concordia University Wisconsin School of Pharmacy and the opportunity to complete a rotation in Academia and earn a teaching certificate.

Professional interests
I have a wide variety of clinical interests including critical care, hem/onc, and transplant. I also have a strong interest in academia and possibly becoming a residency program director.

Hobbies
Playing tennis, reading, figure skating, begin outdoors

What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
Enjoying Lake Michigan — going for a run along the shore, relaxing on the beach, etc.
