Why did you choose to pursue a residency?
During pharmacy school, I was drawn to careers in pharmacy that involved a multidisciplinary approach to patient care. I wanted to be a part of a team and was encouraged by the opportunities to be involved in projects and research at an academic medical center.
What attracted you to Froedtert’s pharmacy residency program?
I was instantly drawn into Froedtert’s program by the preceptors and directors that were obviously interested in developing excellent pharmacists through their residency program. Their current residents raved about their experiences with providers and direct patient care. I felt their encouragement and enthusiasm for learning and growth from my initial conversations and have continued to feel supported by the pharmacy community and other disciplines at Froedtert Hospital.
Academia and Oncology Practice
I enjoy cooking and traveling. Since residency has begun, the cooking is 5 ingredients or less and the travel is confined to the Midwest, but I still try to make time to see family and friends when I can!
What's your favorite thing to do in Milwaukee?
My favorite thing to do in Milwaukee is check out the weekend events and festivals with family and friends. There is always something going on in the Milwaukee area and it is a great opportunity to get involved in my community.
