Professional Education

School of Radiologic Technology

The field of radiology is constantly changing as new technological advances make imaging faster, clearer, and more informative. Today, healthcare experts can image all portions of the body with specialized tools that allow them to see what their predecessors had only dreamed of -- and the technology is always changing.

The Froedtert School of Radiologic Technology is focused on educating students interested in a radiology career by combining classroom education and clinical experience. The two-year program provides students with a classroom and clinical education that will allow them to perform high-quality diagnostic radiologic examinations.

The professional curriculum integrates formal lectures, clinical labs, and seminars to provide a broad educational experience for the student. The ideal candidate would complete two years of preparatory course work at a local university prior to the two-year professional curriculum. Currently, Concordia University Wisconsin and the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and Mount Mary College will award a Bachelor of Science degree, with a major in Radiologic Technology, upon completion of the pre-professional and professional components. The school has signed articulation agreements with the universities and accepts at least 50 percent of its applicants from these universities.

The School of Radiologic Technology is committed to continuous quality improvement and producing technologists who are an asset to the Allied Health profession by meeting and exceeding standards set by the institutional and accreditation bodies.

Admission to the program is open to all qualified individuals regardless of race, color, creed, sex, age, handicap, or national origin.

The program is evaluated continually and revised as necessary to keep up with the changing needs of the profession -- to better educate and meet the needs of the students.
