We offer a wide variety of fertility, childbirth, pre-natal and early parenting classes. Programs include a childbirth series (express, four-week, teen and single parent versions), plus classes on breastfeeding, sibling interaction and much more.

Breastfeeding
Learn about breastfeeding — the benefits to mother and baby as well as how to prepare for breastfeeding. This class should be taken about four weeks before your delivery, and your spouse or support person should attend with you. Please call 414-805-3666 to register.

Child Safety & Pediatric CPR

Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center offers four Childbirth Series options to accommodate time, learning style and specific needs.
Each series teaches about the process and expectations of labor and delivery, the role of the labor coach and caring for a newborn. Class includes a tour of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center.
Four-Week Series. This is a four-week series (one day of the week for four weeks). The start dates are listed below. Choose the day of the week that is most convenient for you. Participants should finish the series four weeks before their due date.
Mondays: Sept 8; Oct. 13; Nov. 17

Fee: $60.00 per couple
EXPRESS Childbirth Class. This condensed, one-session class includes labor and delivery preparation and newborn care. Tours of the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Birth Center may be arranged individually; not included with this class due to time constraints.

Teen/Single Parent Childbirth Series. This two-week series is designed to meet the needs of teen and single parents. Moms-to-be are welcome to attend along, with the father of the baby, a friend or other support person. The series includes labor and delivery preparation, newborn car, a tour of the Birth Center, breastfeeding class and a discussion of community resources. Sibling Class
This one-session class is designed to assist parents in preparing their children to become “big brothers or big sisters.” Children must be at least 4 years old, and parents are welcome to attend. Please call 414-805-3666 to register.

Pregnancy Bed Rest Basket
The Bed Rest Basket offers a collection of educational books and audio/visual items for pregnant women who require bed rest and are unable to attend conventional childbirth education classes. The basket is available for loan at no charge to Small Stones members. Small Stones, a health resource center of Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin, is located in the V.
