Where incredible things happen. Every day.

Every Day

May - July 2006 Issue

In this issue of Every Day, we take a look at carotid stenting. The carotid stent is being used in a new procedure that offers an alternative to patients considered high risk for carotid artery surgery. The "Wingspan" stent is the first FDA-approved stent for placement in the arteries of the brain. Also in this issue, we examine hot topics: new treatment for heart failure, MRI to diagnose heart problems, minimally invasive back surgery, ICD implants for heart failure, epilepsy in women, and biopsies of skin, muscles and nerves.
