Shaping the Future of Healthcare

One of the ways you can help shape the future of healthcare is by supporting clinical fellowships. Fellowships help ensure medical advancement directly benefiting patients continues at Froedtert & Medical College. Lori Book, MD, Priya Dayamani, MD and Tiffany Mork, MD are clinical fellows in the Froedtert & Medical College Endocrine Clinic, where they are studying the correlation between intensive self-management of diabetes, control of blood sugars and fetal growth rates, under the guidance of Thomas Wigton, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin perinatologist. Keeping blood sugars under control in pregnant women is believed to decrease the risk of certain malformations and birth defects in babies.

Dr. Dayamani says of her experience: “It is fascinating to be in a field of tremendous growth where there is day-to-day expansion and application of knowledge. I enjoy excellent opportunities to do research in areas of specific interest under the guidance of experts in the field. Furthermore, I’m an integral part of teaching and training residents and medical students.”
