Choosing the Right Place for Care Your child is complaining of a sore throat. Your spouse suffers a painful sprain. Many types of health concerns can develop suddenly for you or a family member. There are many places to go for health care, but how do you choose the right place at the right time?
Here's a general guide to follow:
Primary Care is regular preventive care and treatment provided by an internal medicine physician, a family medicine physician, an internist/pediatrician or a pediatrician. Appointments are usually needed. The Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin primary care clinics in Brookfield, Menomonee Falls, West Allis and Wauwatosa offer primary care services for the entire family. To make an appointment, call 800-272-3666, or learn more about our Primary Care clinics.
A Walk-in Clinic provides primary care services without an appointment for acute health needs, such as allergies, minor burns, muscle aches, sprains, upper respiratory infections and flu symptoms.
