Give to Healing

Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza
As the Wisconsin summer wraps up, the Froedtert Hospital Foundation is completing another project: Construction of the Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza will be completed with a dedication ceremony this fall.

The Healing Plaza, located outside the East Clinics building main entrance and Clinical Cancer Center, will be an oasis of calm on the campus — a unique environment of beauty and serenity for all who visit.

“People come to Froedtert Hospital at some of the most difficult and challenging times of their lives," said William D. Petasnick, president and chief executive officer of Froedtert Hospital. “The Healing Plaza is very much in keeping with our commitment to caring for the whole person, addressing the spirit, mind and body. We are deeply grateful to the generous donors who made this project possible.”

Entirely funded by contributions to the Froedtert Hospital Foundation and named for a major donor, the Mortenson Construction Healing Plaza features three distinct garden areas, trees, walking paths, benches and a water feature. The Healing Plaza will be open to all patients, visitors and staff.

Many opportunities still exist to honor a loved one or caregiver in the Healing Plaza. To add your dedication to a brick, tile or bench, contact the Froedtert Hospital Foundation at 414-805-2699.
