When we conceived the notion of honoring our patients through the Hope and Spirit Awards, we knew we would hear amazing stories. Yet, the courage, perseverance and true grit these patients — and many others — demonstrate every day continues to astonish us.

We would like to introduce you to our 2005 Hope and Spirit Awards winners: four “ordinary” people who had the courage to conquer extraordinary odds in their lives
