Small Stones at School
Dedicated teachers constantly search for enhancements that make learning fun and interesting. Small Stones supports this effort through Small Stones at School, an outreach program that makes available a wide range of health education tools at affordable prices. The program is open to any teacher licensed by the state of Wisconsin.
Tools for Teaching
Medical Models and Charts to RentFrom whole body systems to individual parts, Small Stones has a wide variety of models from The Anatomical Chart Company available for teachers to rent for a small fee.
Books to BorrowWe have every health topic imaginable to borrow. Our nurse educators can work with you to select age-appropriate books.
Expertise of Nurse Educators
Make an appointment with one of our nurse educators who can help you find books and other resources that will assist in developing a teaching plan for the topic your students are studying. We can even provide a list of helpful health Web sites that can be used in the classroom.
Student ToursWorking on a group project? Student groups are welcome to come in and access our extensive library of more than 5,000 health-related books, videos, audiotapes and CDs.
Discounted Memberships for TeachersTeachers licensed by the state of Wisconsin receive $5 off the cost of a Small Stones membership. The membership offers free health screenings, discounts on books and merchandise, savings and offers from our community partners, a member newsletter and much more.
Please note that Small Stones membership is not required for participation in Small Stones at School.
