Michael Laird Biographical Summary

Michael J. Laird is president and chief executive officer of St. Joseph’s Hospital. Laird joined St. Joseph’s in August 2006. He is a healthcare executive with more than 20 years of hospital management experience including 12 years serving as chief executive officer of various hospitals.

Laird is board-certified and a fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He earned a bachelor of science degree from St. John’s University in Collegeville, Minn., and a master's of Healthcare Administration degree from Xavier University in Cincinnati, Ohio.

Laird currently serves on the board of directors of the Economic Development Council of Washington County and Citizens Advocacy of Washington County. Since 1997, he has served on the American College of Healthcare Executives Council of Regents.
