Blaine O'Connell Biographical Summary

Blaine J. O’Connell has been senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Froedtert & Community Health (F&CH) since F&CH’s creation in December 2000. He became vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Froedtert in September 1993. In January 1999, he was appointed senior vice president of Finance and chief financial officer of Froedtert.

O’Connell is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. He received a master’s degree in Management (Finance and Accounting) from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University in 1974 and a bachelor of science degree in Psychology from the College of the Holy Cross in 1967.

From 1977 to 1981, O’Connell was the comptroller for West Suburban Hospital in Oak Park, Illinois. From 1981 to 1984, he was the associate director of Financial Management and Control for the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics.

Immediately prior to joining Froedtert, O’Connell was vice president of Finance with Missouri Baptist Health Care System and Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis.
