Froedtert Ranked in Best Hospitals List

U.S. News & World Report Cites Endocrinology, Kidney Disease and Urology

Milwaukee (July 16, 2007) — Froedtert Hospital’s expertise in endocrinology, kidney disease and urology earned inclusion in U.S. News & World Report’s 2007 America’s Best Hospitals list. The 18th annual ranking, widely considered the most authoritative hospital guide, screened 5,462 hospitals and medical centers nationwide. Only 173 hospitals made the list, which evaluated programs in 16 different specialties.

“This list includes the finest medical centers in the country, and we are proud that Froedtert Hospital is among them,” said William D. Petasnick, president and CEO of Froedtert Hospital. “It is a credit to the outstanding staff and physicians who care for patients at Froedtert.”

The America’s Best Hospitals rankings weigh three elements equally: a set of care-related factors such as nursing and patient services, reputation and death rate. The list appeared in U.S. News & World Report on newsstands today and online at usnews.com.
