Nursing Professionals Magazine names Froedtert one of “Top 100 Hospitals to Work For”
Milwaukee, WI (Feb. 3, 2009) — Froedtert Hospital was one of just three Wisconsin hospitals named among the “2009 Top 100 Hospitals to Work For” national list compiled by Nursing Professionals magazine.
“We are honored that our nursing staff is ranked with the finest professionals and among the best centers in the country,” said Pam Maxson-Cooper, RN, Senior Vice President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Officer at Froedtert. “As a nationally recognized Magnet hospital, we strive to continually raise the bar, and we hold ourselves to the highest standards of excellence. We are proud of our flexibility and diversity, while ensuring each nurse has a strong voice.”
Early in 2009, Nursing Professionals sent a survey to 25,000 randomly selected hospital nurses measuring their job satisfaction. The nurses were asked about their hospitals’ flexible working arrangements, whether their employers were family-friendly, how well their hospitals supported personal training and development and how strong the nursing voice is within their organization. The magazine used the results of the survey to compile the Top 100 list.
Froedtert will be featured in the Spring 2009 issue of Nursing Professionals.
