Froedtert Volunteer Associates President Named to New State Post
Milwaukee, WI (Jan. 9, 2009) — Mark Schaefer, longtime president of Froedtert Hospital’s Volunteer Associates, has been named president-elect of the Wisconsin Hospital Association’s (WHA) Volunteers. Schaefer will set the five-year strategic vision for the volunteer group, named Partners of WHA, Inc. In his new role, Schaefer will coordinate and oversee 77 hospital volunteer programs throughout the state. He will serve a two-year term as president-elect, before becoming president.
Beyond his various volunteer positions at Froedtert Hospital, Mark has taken leadership roles as the Southeast District President of Partners of Wisconsin Hospital Association and serves on the Wisconsin Award for Volunteer Excellence committee.
Mark will continue as co-president of Froedtert’s Volunteer Associates until May 2009, when his term expires. Connie Donovan, a Froedtert Hospital volunteer, was recently elected co-president of the Froedtert Hospital Volunteer Associates.
