Dr. John Fangman Appointed Director of Collaborative Urban Programs
Milwaukee, Wis. (October 19, 2012) — John Fangman, MD, has been appointed director of collaborative urban clinical programs for Froedtert Hospital and the Medical College Physicians. In this role, he will provide clinical leadership for Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin’s initiatives to improve health in Milwaukee’s underserved, urban populations.
“John has a deep understanding of urban health and is passionate about organizing systems of care for the underserved. His expertise and enthusiasm will be invaluable in helping Froedtert & The Medical College advance community-based health programs in urban neighborhoods,” said Lee Biblo, MD, chief medical officer of Froedtert Hospital and professor of medicine and associate dean for clinical affairs at The Medical College of Wisconsin.
A board-certified physician in internal medicine, pediatrics and infectious disease, Dr. Fangman is a Medical College of Wisconsin associate professor of infectious disease. He has been chief medical officer at the AIDS Resource Center of Wisconsin for five years and will continue in this role while serving Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin.
