Singh Named Associate Chief Medical Officer

Milwaukee, Wis. (July 18, 2012) — Siddhartha Singh, MD, MS, an internal medicine physician at Froedtert Hospital and associate professor of medicine at the Medical College of Wisconsin, has been appointed associate chief medical officer for Froedtert Hospital and Medical College Physicians. In this role, he will share responsibility with chief medical officer Lee Biblo, MD, to oversee clinical research, clinical information technology, and clinical quality and resource management for the hospital’s outpatient and inpatient facilities.

Medical College Physicians is the adult component of the Medical College’s group practice, which provides adult care in virtually every specialty of medicine at Froedtert Hospital and at Froedtert & The Medical College Clinics.

“I am very pleased that Dr. Singh is moving into this clinical leadership role,” said Cathy Buck, president of Froedtert Hospital. “During his seven-year tenure with our organization, he has worked on numerous data-driven quality and operational improvement initiatives. He will be a critical link in working with clinical departments across Froedtert & The Medical College to improve patient health, enhance patient care, and reduce the cost of care.”

Dr. Biblo said, “Dr. Singh’s skills are very well aligned for this position. He has a proven track record in quality improvement and programmatic development. Sid is a great communicator who makes all those around him better.”

Dr. Singh received his medical degree from the All India Institute of Medical Sciences in 2000 and his master’s of science degree in epidemiology from The Medical College of Wisconsin in 2009. He completed his internal medicine residency at St. Francis Hospital in Evanston, Ill. and completed a fellowship in general internal medicine at The Medical College of Wisconsin.

Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin combine the strengths of Froedtert Hospital and The Medical College in an academic medical center that delivers advanced medical care. Froedtert & The Medical College are nationally recognized for exceptional physicians, research leadership, specialty expertise and state-of-the-science treatments and technology.
