Milwaukee, WI (October 26, 2009) – Getting a mammogram has never been this much fun. To encourage women to get this important annual screening, Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Springdale Health Center is hosting a special gathering that includes free pampering treats for women.

“Regular mammograms are the gold standard for breast cancer screening but we know it’s easy for a busy woman to forget about it or put it off,” said Kathleen Sawasky, MD, medical director of the Springdale Health Center. “That’s why we’re inviting women to make it an event with their mom, sister, daughter or friend, and enjoy a relaxing mini-facial, chair massage or other special treat while they’re here.”

Slated for Wednesday, November 11, from 4-8 pm at the Springdale Health Center, the Mammogram Party will include:

Mini-facials and makeovers provided by Merle Norman
Chair massages and mini-manicures by Lynn & Co. salon
Refreshments from Café Manna
Breast health information from Small Stones Health Resource Center
Mammograms provided by Froedtert & The Medical College Breast Care Center specialists
