Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Brand Extended to Community Hospitals, Health Centers
Milwaukee, Wis. — Beginning in August, Froedtert Health and the Medical College of Wisconsin (MCW) will rebrand their affiliated hospitals, health centers and services as “Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin” to underscore the academic-community clinical partnership of the two independent organizations.
The health system’s three hospital locations will be rebranded as campuses under the Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin brand.
- Community Memorial Hospital in Menomonee Falls will be branded Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Memorial Hospital campus.
- St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend will be branded Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin St. Joseph’s Hospital campus.
- Froedtert Hospital will be branded Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Froedtert Hospital campus.
“Extending the Froedtert & the Medical College brand to all of our clinical service sites is a logical next step in the continuing collaboration between our two organizations,” said Catherine Jacobson, president and chief executive officer of Froedtert Health. “Uniting our hospitals, health centers and physicians under one brand is simpler for consumers, conveys a consistent standard of care, and better reflects our goal to provide superior value by aligning health care delivery across the region.”
John R. Raymond, Sr., MD, MCW’s president and CEO, said, “This rebranding reflects the correlation of our organizations’ clinical and financial activities and shared commitments to both academic and community medicine.”
On July 1, Froedtert Health and MCW launched a joint clinical practice group to serve patients at both organizations’ community health centers and clinics. The group, Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin Community Physicians, includes more than 250 physicians who provide primary and specialty care at more than 30 locations throughout metropolitan Milwaukee. In fiscal 2012, patient visits to these health centers exceeded 710,000.
The clinical rebranding is effective immediately, and building signs, printed matter and other materials will be replaced over time.
The Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin regional health care network is made up of Froedtert Hospital, Milwaukee; Community Memorial Hospital, Menomonee Falls; St. Joseph’s Hospital, West Bend; and more than 30 primary and specialty care health centers and clinics.
