I believe that cancer treatment needs close partnership between patients, their families and their physicians so that the latest advances in diagnostics and therapy can be brought to the bedside in a timely fashion. An important goal of my practice is to inform and empower patients about the various therapeutic choices including clinical trials. The focus of my research activities is on protecting patients from the side effects of therapy and also on translating laboratory research into successful clinical tools.
