Mary Ames, MDObstetrics and Gynecology "Having grown up on a dairy farm in southeastern Wisconsin, I am very excited to be back home practicing obstetrics and being part of the Medical College of Wisconsin. I initially attended college at Harvard University. After my training, I joined the faculty at Massachusetts General Hospital/Harvard Medical School, before ultimately returning to the Midwest.
I believe in empowering patients with knowledge and a true understanding of the benefits and limitations of their care. High risk pregnancies require patience, compassion and coordinating the highest level of expertise from many sub-specialties. Communication is an essential component which unites the parents, their baby or babies and many providers, in order to produce the most optimal outcome in the most challenging of clinical circumstances."
