Sam O. Zaidat, MD, MScNeurology Neurosurgery Sam O. Zaidat, MD, MSc, is an Associate Professor in the department of Neurology and Neurosurgery at the Medical College of Wisconsin. Dr. Zaidat is a Neurologist with special training in endovascular neurosurgery and interventional neuroradiology. His focus and emphasis is taking care of patients with neurovascular diseases and stroke. Dr. Zaidat's mission is to provide the best care possible for patients with cerebrovascular diseases including but not limited to stroke, carotid artery occlusive disease, brain aneurysms and cerebral vascular malformations. This care encompasses both prevention and treatment with endovascular and neurointerventional treatment such as aneurysm coiling, stroke lysis, placement of carotid or intracranial stents, and balloon angioplasty. Dr. Zaidat's research interests are related to endovascular outcome research, to assess the efficacy and safety of new treatments of neurovascular diseases and clinical trial design as well as medical devices research.
