Lilani Perera, MD was appointed Assistant Professor of Medicine in the Division of Gastroenterology & Hepatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin and started her IBD clinic in July 2008.   Board-certified in Gastroenterology and Internal Medicine, Dr. Lilani Perera completed a three year fellowship in Gastroenterology and Hepatology at the Medical College of Wisconsin.   Dr. Perera comes to the Medical College of Wisconsin from Saint Barnabas Medical Center in New Jersey where she completed her Internal Medicine residency. She then completed a research fellowship in immunology focusing on the role of T cells in pathogens in IBD at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.  Dr. Perera is from Sri Lanka and obtained her medical degree from the University of Colombo.
