"My role is to help patients understand their cancer risks through evaluation of their personal and family histories of cancer and take a proactive stance in their healthcare. If someone is known to be at high risk for cancer development, I help patients and their physicians use this information to develop an individualized care plan to help decrease risk through screening and possible preventative surgeries, when appropriate."
