New Clinical Cancer Center Designed
Through the Eyes of Patients

On May 19, 2008, the new Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center opened its doors to patients and their families. The new facility embodies our unique patient-centered approach to cancer care.

Designed through the eyes of our patients and the specialists who care for them, the new Clinical Cancer Center creates a clinical and support “hub” around each patient. We offer 13 disease-specific cancer programs covering all types of cancer — from the more common breast and prostate cancers to complex or rare cancers, such as lung or brain tumors.

Physician consultations, treatments, diagnostics and support services — including dietitians, social workers, psychologists, chaplains and more — are easily accessible right in the Clinical Cancer Center. Parking is convenient too, with more than 500 spaces under the building.

The new facility also offers enhanced space to accommodate the critical work being done by Medical College of Wisconsin researchers through clinical trials and other research — work that ultimately leads to treatments with more cancer cure potential.

The new Clinical Cancer Center will have its grand opening on June 7.

Ground was broken for the new Clinical Cancer Center in spring 2005. The project was undertaken to accommodate a significant increase in the number of people — local and regional — who seek us out for care. It enables Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin to accommodate an evolution toward outpatient services in cancer care delivery.
