Small Stones Wellness Center

You may experience changes in the way you look and feel as a result of cancer or its treatment. These changes — hair loss, skin changes and other effects of cancer or treatment — can affect your self-image and the way you cope with your illness.

To help men and women living with cancer, the Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Clinical Cancer Center has created a very special place — the Small Stones Wellness Center.

The Wellness Center supports the healing process by helping patients enhance their appearance, promote relaxation and boost their self-esteem. Our skilled and compassionate staff members are devoted to helping you look your best, with personal, one-on-one service to meet your special needs.

Everyone is Welcome!

While wellness services may be part of your treatment plan, any patient may use the services of the Small Stones Wellness Center. You do not need to be a patient of the Clinical Cancer Center.

We also welcome family members, visitors, staff and the public.

Products and Services Integrated with Treatment

The Wellness Center is unique in that all products and services are integrated with your medical care at the Clinical Cancer Center. Our professional staff understands medical issues surrounding cancer care and the need for extra precautions. All products and services are designed especially for your comfort and well-being. You can feel confident that the services you receive are consistent with our high standards of care.

Products and Services

All Wellness Center products and services are safe and appropriate for people receiving cancer treatment. They include:

Wigs — Our in-house professional cosmetologist who specializes in wigs works with you in the detailed process of selecting and fitting wigs
Hair shaving — A complimentary service in the Wellness Center or at your bedside
Hair cuts for patients, staff and community members
Skin care — Complimentary consultations. We'll recommend products suited for special skin care needs
Cosmetics — Our experienced make-up artist will teach cosmetic techniques to work around brow and lash loss and will also teach how to apply foundation. Full facial application with healthy mineral based cosmetics available
Hats, scarves and head coverings
Natural nail and cuticle care — Our products are low in harsh chemical content

The Wellness Center also offers:

Books focusing on self-help, spiritual support, nutrition, relaxation and other topics
CDs with relaxing music and imagery for meditation
Unique jewelry
Other fine retail items

Gift certificates are available.

Hours, Location and Appointments

The Small Stones Wellness Center is located on the second floor of the Clinical Cancer Center.

Open Monday through Friday, 9:00 am to 4:00 pm
