Lisa Brzezinski
Hair and Wig Consultant, Cosmetology Manager

Lisa began her career in cosmetology after training under the direction of Horst Rechelbacher, an entrepreneur, philanthropist and founder of the Aveda Institute. Lisa was a graduate of the first class at the institute’s original location in Minneapolis. She returned to the Milwaukee community and worked in lead styling positions at Erik of Norway and Galleria 333. In 1998, Lisa opened her own studio, Naturally You Hair & Wigs, at LeGrande Salons in Fox Point. The studio moved to a larger location in Menomonee Falls in the summer of 2008.

With a longstanding reputation in Milwaukee and extensive experience working with area hospitals and medical clinics, Lisa’s business made the natural progression of expanding to the Small Stones Wellness Center, located in the Clinical Cancer Center of Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin. Here, Lisa can directly help cancer patients experiencing medical hair loss.

Lisa’s own experience of medical hair loss began after she discovered she had breast cancer and needed chemotherapy in 1997. She is as proud to help others look and feel complete as she is to call herself a survivor. Her own story has given her more personal interest in the care of her clients while they benefit from her expertise with wigs and her professional judgment.

Lisa’s many accomplishments include Honorary Member of Team New Balance for the Komen Milwaukee Race for the Cure in 2002. She has modeled in the “Salute to Survivors” Breast Cancer Showhouse fashion show and the annual Knueppel fashion show. As a former committee member of the cancer center of St. Francis Hospital, Lisa became a recipient of the hospital’s Sharing and Caring award. She has hosted “Look Good, Feel Better” programs for the American Cancer Society, and has shared her story in television and newspaper features.

After 25 years of cosmetology experience, helping women following hair loss has become Lisa’s life’s work. “I know how selecting the right style and fit of a wig creates a drastic change in the self-esteem and personal image of my clients,” she said. “I feel privileged that my clients entrust me with such an intimate and important part of their healing process.”
