American Cancer Society's Prevention Study
Imagine … you … me … living in a cancer-free world.
Together, we can help make it happen.
This year, people in our community have a unique opportunity to make an impact on many lives by volunteering for the American Cancer Society’s third cancer prevention study. This important study will help researchers understand causes of cancer and find ways to prevent it.
Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin are taking part in this national study, offering enrollment at three locations this spring.
Why the Study is Important
Dr. Jim Thomas with Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin's Clinical Cancer Center shares
why the study is important
to saving lives in a new video.
How to Sign Up
Signing up is easy: first, complete an online survey. Then visit one of our locations to enroll in the study, which takes 20-30 minutes. In-person enrollment involves a health history, a blood sample and a waist measurement. Participants are then contacted periodically to update information. If you can make a long-term commitment (surveys by mail over 20-30 years), are 30-65 years old and have never been diagnosed with cancer, please consider helping.
