As the first certified Primary Stroke Center in Wisconsin, The Froedtert Acute Stroke Team (FAST) is available around the clock to provide immediate care if you suspect you have had a stroke. Our advanced treatment options mean that patients arriving outside of the normal optimal treatment “window” may still benefit from advanced medications and procedures — extending the treatment window by hours.
Froedtert & The Medical College also use electronic medical records for all outpatient and inpatient services. Existing patients of Froedtert & The Medical College can rest assured that their emergency specialists partner with your disease specialist or primary care physician, and share the same medical record, to ensure continuity of care.
Patients are connected to case managers and social workers as needed, to ensure proper follow-up care and recovery as well as to provide support for the mental health and social needs a patient may have following an emergency.
