The Eye Institute provides community ophthalmologists and optometrists with several opportunities throughout the year to earn Continuing Medical Education (CME) and Continuing Education (CE) credits.
Grand RoundsThe series is scheduled on the first Wednesday morning each month. The schedule typically includes a 45-minute lecture by an Eye Institute faculty member followed by a couple of case discussions led by Eye Institute residents.
Annual Mid-Winter Retina SymposiumThis one-day event features the Eye Institute retina faculty and invited, nationally-renowned retina experts. It is an important source for current research and findings on vitreoretinal diseases and treatments.
Fall Alumni SymposiumOur Fall Alumni Symposium is an educational program designed to enhance the development of practicing health care professionals. This event, typically held on a Friday, is moderated by a member of the Eye Institute faculty. The primary subject content for the symposium rotates annually and covers subjects of interest to both clinicians and basic scientists.
