Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin have one of the largest thoracic surgery clinical practices in Southeastern Wisconsin. With three dedicated general thoracic surgeons, we offer highly skilled, expert care for the most complex thoracic diseases and conditions. Our thoracic surgeons — George Haasler, MD, Mario Gasparri, MD, and William Tisol, MD, — are each board-certified in both thoracic surgery and general surgery. Dr. Haasler is also board-certified in laser surgery. As a team, they have unrivaled experience and expertise that comes from specializing in thoracic surgery. |

| We treat patients with a variety of conditions including lung cancer, emphysema, end-stage lung disease, hyperhidrosis, thoracic outlet syndrome, chronic pulmonary embolism, esophageal cancer, achalasia, gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD) and much more. Lung transplantation is offered through our Transplant Center, a highly developed program that coordinates the services of pulmonary medicine, thoracic surgery, social services and rehabilitation. Patients with thoracic malignancies (cancers) receive highly coordinated, state-of-the-science care. We take an integrated approach to evaluation and treatment using both traditional and advanced approaches including radiation therapy, chemotherapy and surgery.
