Team CollaborationOur expert heart and vascular specialists collaborate regularly to ensure that patients receive comprehensive, integrated and high-quality care — all in one location. Team physicians work alongside nurses, physician assistants, cardiovascular technicians, dietitians, therapists, lab technologists and other team members to deliver the highest level of care.
Together, team specialists plan care, perform procedures and monitor patient progress. For example, specialists in Vascular Surgery, Cardiac Surgery and Interventional Radiology may collaborate to treat a patient with aortic disease without surgery.
Vascular surgeons often collaborate with vascular and interventional radiologists who perform many specialized interventional procedures such as angioplasty and stent placement.
