Team members in the Memory Disorders Program are dedicated to providing an accurate diagnosis, offering comprehensive treatment and counseling family members in the care of their loved ones. Team members include:

Neurologists — Medical College of Wisconsin physicians with advanced training in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases of the brain, including memory disorders
Neuropsychologists — psychologists with special training in the neurobiological causes of brain disorders
Social Worker — a professional who assists patients and their families in developing future plans and counsels families on available resources such as living arrangements within the community, in-home care, safety issues, financial and legal resources, caregiver support (including support groups) and product information
Geropsychiatrist — a Medical College of Wisconsin physician who specializes in the mental health needs of older adults and can prescribe medications for behavioral issues
Nurses — nurses with special training and experience in caring for people with memory disorders
