Menopause/Total Health for Midlife Women
Midlife — ages 40 to 60 — is a time of change for women. Much of the change revolves around perimenopause and menopause — the transition from a woman’s reproductive years to her non-reproductive years. Women in midlife may also have a host of other health concerns from stress and anxiety to weight gain. In addition, they face a higher risk for heart disease, hypertension, diabetes, cancer and osteoporosis.
The Total Health for Midlife Women Program at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin is devoted to the complete health of women during this phase of life. The program is an enhancement to the care provided by a woman’s own doctor.
Our multidisciplinary staff helps you take a proactive role in your health by focusing on prevention, conducting wellness and health risk assessments, and providing health education. The Total Health for Midlife Women Program is your resource for coordinated care and referrals as needed — all in one convenient setting at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin.
The program begins with an extensive one-on-one session with a nurse specialist experienced in women’s health. Our clients truly enjoy this personal time to discuss their health concerns and ask questions.
