Hand and Upper Extremity Surgeons
Surgeons have been nationally recognized for excellence in orthopaedic, reconstructive and microsurgery. All physicians are board certified and fellowship trained in specialties including hand surgery, upper extremity surgery, microsurgery and plastic and reconstructive surgery.
Our team of orthopaedic surgeons and plastic and reconstructive surgeons is specially trained to provide treatments that improve the function and appearance of any part of the hand and arm that is missing, damaged or diseased. They are also experts in correcting problems or injuries in joints, tendons, nerves and ligaments. Orthopaedic surgeons additionally are trained to correct problems or injuries to the bones in the arm and hand.

Hand TherapistsIn addition to our physicians and psychologists, our comprehensive team includes physical and occupational therapists, many with advanced national certification in hand therapy. We have therapists with specialty areas in brachial plexus, ergonomics, work reconditioning as well as Functional Capacity Evaluations. All therapists are proficient in wound care, splinting/casting, thermal and electrical modalities, therapeutic exercise and patient education. Their longevity with the program, extensive experience and advanced training help them anticipate patient needs and provide optimal care.
Additional Expertise Based on Each Patient’s NeedsAs part of an academic medical center, a full spectrum of specialists is available for consultation and involvement in treatment based on each patient’s needs. These physicians may include neurologists, physical medicine specialists, radiologists, rheumatologists, oncologists and other specialists.
