Froedtert Hospital recognizes the unique needs of our patients, their families and friends. We understand the importance of the presence of significant others in the healing process. Therefore we have a flexible visitation policy.
General visitation is between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Visitors arriving after 8 p.m. and before 6 a.m. will need to contact Security through the intercom at the Froedtert Hospital Entrance or Pavilion entrance.
- Visitors entering the hospital from the Parking Area 1 need to contact Security through the intercom at the entrance door, and wait for Security to open the door.
- Security will contact the patient's nursing unit to determine if the patient may have a visitor. If permission is given, proceed down the corridor to the Family Center to obtain a visitor pass.
- Before you leave the hospital, please drop your visitor pass off at the Family Center or at the drop box at the Froedtert Hospital Entrance Information Desk.
- Because patients need adequate rest, visits may be restricted at the discretion of team members providing patient care.
Children who visit patients must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.
Certain units such as Bone Marrow Transplant, Spinal Cord Injury Center, the Birth Center and Palliative Care have further restrictions or modifications based on the treatment needs of the patient population in that unit.
No Weapons Policy Froedtert Health does not allow weapons or firearms on its premises, unless in the possession of an authorized security or law enforcement officer. As of the November 1, 2011, effective date of the Wisconsin Concealed Carry Law, properly licensed individuals may keep a registered weapon in their locked, personal motor vehicle.
