Hours and Guidelines

Froedtert Hospital recognizes the unique needs of our patients, their families and friends. We understand the importance of the presence of significant others in the healing process. Therefore we have a flexible visitation policy.

General visitation is between 6:00 am and 8:00 pm.

Any visitor arriving after 8:00 pm and before 6:00 am will need to contact Security through the intercom at the West Clinics or Pavilion entrance. After entry into the building, Security will provide a visitor badge and notify the nursing unit. Visitation may be restricted at the discretion of the multidisciplinary team to facilitate patient care. Visitors should keep in mind the need for the patient to have adequate rest periods.

Children must be supervised by a responsible adult at all times.

Certain units such as Bone Marrow Transplant, Spinal Cord Injury Center, the Birth Center and Palliative Care have further restrictions or modifications based on the treatment needs of the patient population in that unit.
