Testimonials

“The Froedtert & Community Health Administrative Fellowship program provides an unmatched experience in bridging the transition from graduate school to a career in healthcare administration. The exposure to both an academic medical center and community hospital provides a rich variety of opportunities for learning and application through a flexible yet comprehensive experience. I truly feel privileged to learn from such exceptional leaders and am continually inspired by all the staff in this organization that contribute to the remarkable care given to patients, their families, and our community.”

“Froedtert & Community Health's administrative fellowship program has offered me the flexibility to align my individual interests within organizational needs. The program has also offered me a unique opportunity to gain experiences and develop relationships across Froedtert & Community Health that would have taken years to accomplish with traditional job rotations. Each day I am exposed to a broad range of learning opportunities through multi-site and multi-function projects. There wasn't one interest I couldn't pursue. The program truly prepares individuals for the future challenges in health administration.”

“The best thing about my internship was the opportunity to observe practicing healthcare providers and executives on a daily basis. Prior to this experience, I was unsure which aspect of health care I would thrive in. Thanks to the Froedtert internship, I now know that I enjoy the processes of quality management. ”

“In a two month period, I have gained so much knowledge in the Quality Management Department as an intern. The staff made me feel welcome and a part of the team from day one. The best part of my internship was shadowing the CEO, Mr. Petasnick, and gaining exposure to the daily operations of a healthcare executive. Overall, this internship has helped me transition my classroom experience in healthcare administration to the work environment, and provided valuable management experience. I have already recommended internships at Froedtert to several colleagues.”

“My experience at Froedtert Hospital has been extremely rewarding and informative. I was able to observe and shadow staff and faculty in the Emergency Department, Hand Center, Orthopedic Rehab Center, and West Surgical Department. I also learned a tremendous amount about surgical procedures, sterilization procedures, and hospital operations from my trainers in the West Sterile Processing Department. The best part of my experience was the opportunity to observe, and learn from, talented and professional staff and faculty at Froedtert & the Medical College of Wisconsin. This experience has helped me better understand the daily operations of a major hospital and confirmed my desire to become a healthcare professional.”
