Rehabilitation GymThe Froedtert & The Medical College of Wisconsin Neurosciences Center takes a long-term approach that goes beyond acute treatment of neurological injuries and disorders. Rehabilitation is a critical part of the recovery process, beginning on the first day of admission and continuing after discharge. The rehabilitation team includes nurses, physical therapists, speech therapists, occupational therapists, social workers, neuropsychologists, case managers, vocational counselors, and therapeutic recreation specialists. Rehabilitation is tailored for individual needs and directed by a physiatrist, a physician with extensive training in managing patients with brain injuries and physical disabilities.
