Operating Room imageTreating adults with congenital heart disease (CHD) takes a broad range of specialists working together. Our Adult Congenital Heart Disease program offers comprehensive care and advanced treatments for adults with congenital heart defects, from the simple to the complex.

Each adult CHD patient's needs are unique and can be diverse. Problems can include arrhythmias (irregular heartbeat), valve problems, coronary artery disease, heart failure, aortic disease and aneurysms, among others. These conditions can also lead to other, non-cardiac medical issues.

Our treatment is individualized to meet each patient's needs. For some patients, medical therapy and monitoring may be enough. Others may need minimally invasive procedures or surgery to treat their condition. The Adult Congenital Heart Disease Program offers the complete range of treatment and follow-up care.

Our physicians perform a high volume of procedures, which can lead to better outcomes. Our specialists also participate in research studies and clinical trials and stay up-to-date on the latest research findings and treatment techniques.

Following are some of the procedures that may be performed by our heart and vascular specialists to help treat adult congenital heart disease:
