Tissue Banking Program

Douglas Evans, MD, Medical College of Wisconsin surgeon and chairman of the Department of Surgery, discusses the Tissue Banking Program. The program's goal is to collect samples of patients' blood and tissue that is left over after surgery and otherwise discarded. The bank would then be used to pursue meaningful research in the hopes of finding effective treatments for all human diseases or to find new and improved techniques for early diagnosis of diseases, including cancer.
